This is the Best Life Ever!
Back in 2012 my wife and I were newly-weds, both pioneering, serving in a semi rural territory in Minnesota. Out of sheer necessity we started a company called www.LovelyLapels.com, and it's been great to be able to work with my favorite people in the whole world: my family! (Mom, Dad, Melvin, Lalys, Maury, Gigi, Nena, Enoc and "Snowy" -- Gigi and Maury's dog)... Because we serve in 3 different states, our "business meetings" every Monday are spent mostly talking about the experiences we have in the ministry, or how great the CO visit or the assembly was, etc.
One of the topics that kept coming up in our conversations was: Many friends buy our products as gifts to give to brothers (and even for us, it was easy to use our products as gifts every time a pioneer school came up, or when my sister and brother-in-law graduated SKE), but it was hard to find, good quality, well-designed, affordable gifts for sisters, children or for a variety of occasions. So we wanted to put our hand-craftiness, contacts, and business experience to good use and came up with this shop.
All the items you'll find in our shop are designed and hand-made by us, all doing this out of love part-time to support our regular pioneering (the 8 of us are regular pioneers, Gigi and Maury are next, unfortunately "Snowy" hasn't shown any interest in the truth yet, but hey! there's always a black sheep in every family, right?!)... we also feature items made by other regular pioneers (our "providers") who are also hand-crafting some of these items to support themselves with a part-time shop.
Hey who knows? maybe in the new world we will craft the details for our new places of worship, or maybe Jehovah will give us a sweeping assignment! For now, we enjoy making these gifts and tools for the ministry, while enjoying full time our service to Jehovah. That is the Best Life Ever.
